Whatever it was, it was more than enough for St. Andrew’s to knock off Union 31-0 in the Class 2A South State semifinals.

Saints blank Lumberton, prep for Union

After winning what many consider to be the biggest game in St. Andrew's history the Saints are on the eve of another big game, this time against the Union Yellow Jackets.
Union has defeated Perry Central and Hinds AHS to advance to the quarterfinals of the MHSAA 2A state championship playoffs. The Yellow Jackets two wins have only come by a combined score of 14 points however. The two wins have improved Union's record to 10-2 for the season. The Yellow Jackets defeated Choctaw Central, Pelahatchie, Kemper County, Bay Springs, Newton, Scott Central, Philadelphia and Clarkdale in the regular season while falling to 1A Lake and Enterprise-Clarke.

BLACKMON KEEPS IT GOING
St. Andrew's RB Bradford Blackmon scored two touchdowns in a 44-29 win over Yazoo County. Blackmon has 78 career touchdowns, tying him with Warren Central's Brian Darden (1992-94), Hancock's Terrance Goff (1987-91) and Ripley's Vashon Pearson (1998-2000). Weir's Dicenzo Miller holds the state record (118) set from 1994-97.
